Ring announcer at the AGON Box Gala in Berlin
Yesterday I was allowed to do one of my favorite things again… to host as a ring announcer through a big boxing gala. It is always a great pleasure for me to take my audience on an emotional journey.
8 fights, 2 title fights and 1 comeback
Eight professional boxing fights were on the fight card of the Berlin boxing stable AGON. While some aces are currently waiting for their next title fights or world championship qualifying bouts, there was still a top-class line up.
Twice AGON boxers could defend their IBF Intercontinental title and once the boxing fans experienced a long awaited comeback: the former WBA World Champion Jack “Golden Jack” Culcay was finally back in the ring. The reason for the absence of more than one and a half years is not an injury, but the long wait for the final eliminator for his next world championship opportunity.
Berlin is always worth a trip
I have become a big Berlin fan in the meantime. Not only of the city itself, but also of what the AGON boxing stable has set up here. I trust the team as well as the boxers here a lot and it would not surprise me if soon world championship fights belong to the everyday life of the AGON Box Galas. I am already looking forward to their staging.
What is the most important thing for you at a boxing event? What do you think of first when you think about boxing?
See you soon and all the best,
Ronny
